Noah – having fun with big sticks

It’s been a while since I posted anything. I have been finding it hard to be inspired about anything lately. Winter has been long and dreary. It is either dark, bleak or raining in Edinburgh.

I took this picture of Noah at the end of autumn last year and thought I should share it with you all.  It didn’t get that many likes on my personal FB page (I reckon my friends are not that hung up on dogs lol). I’ve entered him into a dog contest (My first) he hasn’t got that many votes at the moment (despite posting on my personal FB page or photography page), so I’m asking bloggers here to help him get more votes. He has turned into a handsome and sometimes crazy dog. If you think he deserves your vote pop over to kingspet it won’t take more than a minute to place your vote and no need to resister (unless your a pet owner and wish to enter yourself)

Thank you for stopping by

Noah with swans

I have been promising you to show the latest of Noah’s shots while out on a day trip to Arthur seat  taken a couple of weeks back when it was a nice sunny day. I have been trying out different settings on the camera, and on an earlier post you would have seen Noah modelling amongst the buttercups. I hasten to add I really was just going to take some shots of flowers for a project I was working on, when he just went into the shot and remained there so who couldn’t resist taking a few of him. He is a natural infront of  the lens, maybe I should enter him into a contest.

well here they are I hope you enjoy them:

You can also view them in higher resolution on my main photography page along with many more of Noah & the beautiful swans. Here

A dog’s best friend

Good afternoon everyone

Thought you might like to see Noah featured in a short slideshow modelling with his uncle kev last week. It was a lovely sunny day in Edinburgh, went on a lovely walk to Arthur seat, took quite a lot of pictures and in the process of going through them all. Will post a few more photo’s of Noah swimming and being close to quite a few swans. Noah wasn’t bothered in the slightest by them, however the swans were keeping a close watch on him. lol

Yikes I’m back folks

Hi there folks

Hi everybody

This pesky owner of mine has been kind of abandoning me lately as she is so busy with this big thing (that she keeps stuffing in my face) she calls it a camera.  So you’ve not seen me around here lately.

I have been ropped into modelling for her, Goodness its hard work.

dog tired

However I have been getting lots of attention from my uncle kev, I have been getting lots of walks and he’s great at throwing the ball. (which reminds me I need more, I seem to keep losing mine). Oh and I have a little friend who keeps shouting on me to come and play. (I can only go if the gate is closed or owner is working in the garden).

I’m doing good I recently went to the vet (tried to cheat on the scales but the vet caught me.) haha she said I was okay weight wise and I could even get away with having some biscuits for supper yipeeeeeeee. Had to get a big needle stuck into me, well it wasn’t that big really (I was brave I didn’t flinch or cry).

I did have a lovely day out with my owner and uncle kev last week (yip she did it again out with the camera) She said I was a natural and she couldn’t help snapping away.   MMMMMM maybe I did have a little something to do with it. Well I’m a handsome boy what’s not to like.  Here’s a little collection for you of me modelling.

Noah the model dog

A quick update on Noah: Noah has turned out to be a rather handsome dog. Wherever we go people will often stop to admire his good looks. Noah helps and inspires me in a quest to becoming a better photographer. He is so easy and patient in front of the camera. I think he sees himself as the next ‘Model Dog’

Another salsa Congress this time in Malta

November was a fantastic month for me apart from being my birthday I went to Malta for the first time and to stay in a 5* hotel, It was also the first time I have went to an international salsa congress. Not only was there over 2000 dancers from all walks of life, I had the chance to use my camera to get some shots of this beautiful Island.

My view over looking my balcony – each room had their own balcony

found the time to go for a stroll with the camera round my neck – thank goodness its a light model.

Love the colours in the rock formation on the edge of the beach

Really thought this little dog was going to jump in, now if it had been my Noah there would be no hesitation. How i did miss him, especially seeing all the other dogs enjoying the beach

Noah 1st Holiday – part 2

Here’s more pics of our time at Angecroft Caravan Park. Apart from a little rain on the Saturday, it stayed fairly dry for the next couple of days. It rained heavily late on the Monday night, we didn’t care though as we were nice and cosy in the the caravan. We woke early in the morning to find it was still raining . After breakfast I decided to brave the rain, I wanted to enjoy our last day at the caravan, and my brother was arriving late afternoon with his 2 kids to stay overnight and drive us back home in the morning.

After a long walk we headed back to the caravan, to dry off. After some lunch I settled down to watch Anne of green gables Continue reading

Noah’s 1st Holiday – Part 1

Well fellow  bloggers I have been promising you this post for a while now, I’ve finally got round to organizing  some of the many photos of our time at a caravan in Ettrick Valley.

We left on the saturday 13th October. The travel plans didn’t quite go to plan. I had originally planned to leave the day before, but as I was working I didn’t relish the thought of travelling late in the day (which was just as well I didn’t).  a good friend was planning a visit back to Edinburgh for that very weekend. So I went out dancing and enjoyed a catch up off her news of her settling into a new area and job. When I rechecked travelling plans that very night I found to my dismay there wouldn’t be a bus that would take us from Selkirk Town to Angecroft caravan park ; as I had originally thought. Apparently it’s only the local school bus they use, and as it was a Saturday there was no other means of transport to getting there. Lets just say I panicked, Continue reading
